Small Heath Park, Birmingham, UK. 25th July, 2017. Pictured: Young boys take part in prayers. / Europe’s largest Eid celebration is held in Birmingham’s Small Heath Park with an estimated 100,000 people expected to take part in the day’s festivities. Now in its seventh year, the festival has seen growing numbers since its inception in 2011 with almost 90,000 people taking part in 2016. Organised by Green Lane Masjid & Community Centre, Celebrate Eid began with morning prayers and sermons from 9am until 10am. Following prayers, festival-goers were able to take part in family activities including laser clay pigeon shooting, miniature golf, rodeo bull riding, fairground rides, food stalls and much more.
