Absecon Lighthouse, Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States (New England) The grounds and light was opened to the public in October 2001. Absecon Lighthouse is New Jersey’s tallest beacon for tourists to climb. The brick tower contains a spiral staircase with 228 steps. The lighthouse is owned by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Division of Parks and Forestry. The lighthouse is located in Atlantic City near the intersection of Pacific and Rhode Island Avenues.
