Zebra Swallowtail (Protographium marcellus) 5th instar larva on the underside of a Paw Paw (Asimina triloba) leaf. Zebra larva rest on the underside of Paw Paw leaves during the day and feed at night. Zebra are found from southeast Canada and south through the eastern United States. They feed on the various species of Paw Paw, genus Asimina. This larva was found at the Reed Run Preserve owned by the Lancaster Conservancy.
