Goulding's Lodge in Monument Valley, Navajo Tribal Lands, Utah, USA
The area lies entirely within Monument Valley, the Navajo Indian Reservation on the Utah/Arizona border; the state line passes through the most famous landmarks, which are concentrated around the border near the small settlement of Goulding - this was established in 1923 as a trading post by Harry and Leone(Mike) Goulding. The museum is housed in the original Trading Post and home of Mr. and Mrs. Goulding who were lifelong friends of the Navajo people. Harry brought movie director John Ford to Monument Valley to see the landscapes and the rest is movie making history. Visit a movie set from "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" or walk back in time with this wonderful collection of movie making memorabilia and Indian artifacts. Monument Valley is still used for movie and commercial filming today.
