The donation of Mr. Carnegie wasthereupon accepted and Mr. Alfred Grindle selected as theArchitect of the new Library Building. The Board decided tobuild the new building upon the Library grounds already ownedby the Board at the corner of Wayne and Webster Streets. Theplans for the structure, of which a cut will be found in this Re-port, were completed and the contract has been let to Mr. and in the near future Fort Wayne will be able to boastof a beautiful and commodious Public Library Building.
