Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko
Full-frame NAVCAM image taken on August 10, 2014 from a distance of about 110 km from comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The comet nucleus is about 4 km across. Comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko is the object of study of the European Space Agency's Rosetta mission, which first rendezvoused with the comet on August 6, 2014. The Rosetta spacecraft will enter the comet's orbit and identify a site for its Philae lander, which will achieve the first landing on a comet nucleus.
