The infantry platoon with the task force is responsible for conducting patrolling, urban warfare and live fire ranges to build relations with multiple nations during the deployment. Koa Moana is the first multi-national, bilateral exercise between the PNGDF and Marines directly, and is designed to increase interoperability and relations by sharing infantry, law enforcement, medical and engineer skills.
