Graveslabs & markers of important patrons of Strata Florida Cistercian abbey, Ceredigion, Wales, UK, discovered in the exterior angle between the presbytery & south transept (rear) during excavations in the 1880s. The Lord Rhys, prince of Deheubarth, & his descendants were great patrons of the abbey in the C12 & C13th & at least 12 of them were buried there, mainly in the chapter house. The abbey was founded on its present site in 1165 & dissolved in 1539.
