Lt. Harrs captured a photograph on September 29, 1918, showing the wreckage of Big Bertha in the woods near Cappy-sur-Somme. The Germans intended to use this 78ft gun in shelling Amiens, but the 122nd Regt., aided by Australian troops, forced them to retreat. The gun's base is made of steel and concrete, and the picture was approved by the censor.
