160713-M-WH287-078 PACIFIC OCEAN (JULY 13, 2016) Marines go by CH-53E Super Stallion to conduct an air assault July 13 into the Kahukus Training Area. 2nd Battalion, 3d Marines is taking part in Exercise Rim of the Pacific 16, the world's largest international maritime exercise. The battalion is a ground combat element for a Marine Air-Ground Task Force embarked aboard the USS San Diego, USS America, and HMAS Canberra during the exercise that increases naval integration.
