Fishes Bering Sea Geographical DOVER SOLE, Microstomas pacificus (Lockington 1879) Pleuronectidae: Righteye Flounders Literature Reported from the Bering Sea and in the Aleutian Islands, to San Cristobal Bay, Baja California Sur (Wilimovsky 1964; Miller and Lea 1972), at depths of 10 to 1189 m (Allen and Mearns 1976; Allen 1982). Survey data Found along the outer shelf of the eastern Bering Sea from Navarin Canyon to south Bristol Bay, west along the Aleutian Islands to Stalemate Bank, and southeast to San Clemente Island, California. One questionable record occurred just south of Nunivak Island. Depth range 25 to 1025 m, most frequently ( of occurrences) on the outer shelf between 100 and 150 m, and of occurrences from depths <500 m. Survey data provide a more detailed distribution in the Bering Sea, and extend the known range west in the Aleutian Islands.
