In November 2023 the old Windsor Bridge, Bath, spanning the River Avon, was removed. The bridge was built in 1837 and linked the Twerton and Weston areas of Bath until 1980. It was repurposed in 1979 to carry large capacity gas pipes. After these were relocated, and the old bridge had reached the end of its serviceable life, the decision was reached to remove it, and the work carried out by Pennys Group Limited.
