The exact date for the Centennial celebration of NewYork Avenue Presbyterian Church would be May 13,1903. The Session, in deciding upon such celebration,thouo-ht it wise to defer it until some convenient date inthe autumn, to be determined by the committee ofarrangements. This committee was appointed to consistof the elders, deacons, and trustees, with power to addto their number. They decided that the celebrationshould begin on Sabbath, November fifteenth, andcontinue on the evenings of the three succeedingdays. Because of the age of the church, and itshistorical and ecclesiastical importance, and the unusualprogramme announced, the occasion wakened a wide-spread interest, not onl3Mn this community but through-out the country, and received unusual notice from theAssociated Press and from the daily and weekly church was in part quickened in preparation forthe occasion by a series of Sunday eveni
