The lever receives itsthrust from a coiled spring D seated ina pocket in the lid, and transforms thispressure by full running against the hingelug E, into a powerful direct inwardpull against the center of the lid at a rightangle to it and the mouth of the boxwhen the lid is closed, thereby maintain- in no way affects the security of the lidand operating parts. B. standard dimensions,and can be furnished for both freighttrucks now in general use e
