FORT KNOX, Ky. – Mikki Frison, the widow of 1st Lt. Demetrius Frison, uses charcoal and tracing paper to capture the imprint of her husband’s name, Mar. 9. She was attending the Memorial Dedication and Fallen Hero Ceremony hosted by the Duke Association, a private organization of brigade leaders and veterans of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. The memorial honors all Soldiers in the brigade who have died since 2001 in the Global War on Terror. 1st Lt. Frison died May 10, 2011 from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his platoon using an improvised explosive device. (
