Canadian engineers are seen cutting trees in the Vosges Mountains during World War One. The trees will be used in military operations and construction purposes. This photograph, titled 111-SC-1302, was taken in 1919 by photographer E. Lumbers. The scene depicts the lumbering activities of Canadian soldiers.
