ntique Union Porcelain Works pale blue porcelain oyster dish, made with four oyster wells, sauce well and decorated with various sea creatures. The pale blue seaweed shades to lemon yellow, pink and cream towards the rim. The clam shell and small thumb indent shell are highlighted in gold. The oyster dish measures 22cm / inches by / inches. The back has the makers bird head and Pat. Jan 4 1881 in underglaze black and in yellow an oblong mark incorporating “Union Porcelain Works Greenpoint NY”.
