December, 20th, New York, NY, USA : Abed Sabha an eleven year old boy from Aleppo Syria was hit by a missile fired by Syrian govornment forces on a civilian populated area in Aleppo Syria. Abed was severely injured and was carried by his older brother Omar to a nearby makeshift hospital in the basedment of a Mosque where his left leg had to be amputated. A doctor contatced Elissa Montanti who is in charge of The Global Medical Relief Fund in Staten Island New York. Elissa Montanti has worked through a frustrating bureacratic process to bring Abed to the United States for medical help.
