Proboscis fully developed ; palpi iiptnrnefl, the 2nd joint reaching abont to middle of frons and slenderly scaled, the 3rd long; frons smootli; eyes large, round; antenna^ of male almost simple; thorax clothed with hair and scales mixed and witliout crests; tibias slightly fringed with hair; abdomen with dorsal crest at base only, the male witli large lateral fans of scales covering a very large ventral orifice. Fore wing with the apex somewhat produced and acute, the termen evenly curved and not crenulate, the inner margin lobed ; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; G from npper angle ; 7, 8, 9, 10 stalked, 10 from beyond 7; 11 from cell.
