Of great excellence; large, bright red; tender, juicy, nearly sweet, and delicious. 50c each. DUKES AND MORELLOS The^e two clashes of cherries are very distinct from the preceding. The trees are of smaller size, and grow more slowly, the leaves are thicker and more erect, and of a deeper green. The fruit is generally round, and in color varying from light red to dark brown. The Dukes have stout, erect branches usually, and some of them, like Reine Hortense, quite sweet fruit; "while the Morellos have slender, spreading branches, and acid fruit invariably. Their hardiness renders them well worthy of attention in localities where the Heart and Bigarreau are too tender. Early Richmond. An early red, acid cherry ; very valuable for cooking early in the season. Ripens through June. A free grower, hardy, healthy, and very productive. 50c each. 10 for $ May Duke. An old, well known, excellent variety; large; dark red; juicy, sub-acid, rich. Middle of June. 50c each. Montmorency Ordinaire. A beautiful, large, red, acid cherry; larger and finer than Early Rich- mond, and fully ten days later.
