Snaefellsnes, Iceland - 7 May 2006; Snaefellsnes is a 90-km long peninsula on the western side of Iceland. It is famed for its dramatic scenery, which is dominated by volcanoes, mountains, lava flows and rocky coast. Almost a country in miniature, it is a noted tourist attraction.
