Austria, Plockenpass. WWI. Memorial plaque on the wall of the Plocken haus for the shooter Colonel Carl Gressel, the defender of the Gail Valley in 1915. The Plocken haus restaurant and alpine shelter in winter. it is the starting point for all the excursions in the WWI around mountains. During the WWI the Plocken haus was part of the Austrian rear and was destroyed by the Italian artillery.
