During their graduation ceremony, Afghan Uniform Police noncommissioned officer graduates of the NCO and literacy course demonstrate self-defense moves learned during the course at the Kandahar Regional Training Center in southern Afghanistan, Jun. 7, 2012. One-hundred thirty-eight AUP patrolmen became NCOs after completing the course, which started with six weeks of literacy training followed by eight weeks of police specific and leadership lessons.
