Marine Barracks Washington hosts a sunset parade in honor of the Honorable Thom Tillis, senator of North Carolina, at the Lincoln Memorial on July 17, 2018. The hosting official was Lt. Gen. Michael A. Rocco, deputy commandant, Manpower and Reserve sunset parade summer tradition began in 1954 and features the Silent Drill Platoon, the Marine Band, the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and two marching companies. The sunset parade is held at the Lincoln Memorial and is open for public viewing.
