This is the fine Anglican Parish church of Saint Leonard in Sunningwell Village, viewed just after dawn on a fine, Spring day. It is mostly 13th Century, although some parts date from the 15th or later. No, I have never heard of Leonard of Noblac (died 559 AD), either. Evidently, he was one of most venerated Frankish saints of the late Middle Ages. His intercession was credited with various miracles, including healing diseases of cattle. Just the thing for a rural area like this!
