Theuneman is one of the recently returned service members who, for the past three months, has been in Liberia supporting the Agency for International Development-led mission, Operation United Assistance. Temperature checks allow health care providers to detect EVD early, and are a safeguard taken while deployed to Liberia and stateside during the 21-day controlled monitoring. The 21-day controlled monitoring is a precaution taken to ensure families and communities are confident their service members are healthy.
