Bannerman Castle NY - Bannermans Island Arsenal is an abandoned military surplus warehouse located in a small and desolate island in the middle of the Hudson River. A massive explosion damaged the castle in 1920. Decades of decline, plus a huge fire in 1969, left the structure in ruins by the 1990s. This image is also available as a black and white.
