The Cordonnet is not a Button-holed edging, but is a thread caught round by others mentioned by old writers. It received the first prize forBone Laces in 1752. The Baby Lace before mentioned waschiefly made in Buckinghamshire, though it was notunknown in Bedfordshire. The grounds were the Reseau,net-patterned and wire, the design shown in Fig. 100
