The examination of the Hazlett Mound has established thefact that the Hopewell culture in Ohio constructed the mound, and proves beyond doubt that this culture resorted to FlintRidge for the raw material for the manufacture of many oftheir artifacts and further that they had established themselvesupon the ridge and in close proximity to the good flint evidence is forthcoming as to the length of time the site wasused. It may have been the refuge of the Hopewell culturefrom time to time as they would come to the Ridge for theirsupplies
