A zischägge, Polish or Hungarian 2nd half of the 17th century One-piece forged skull with short, cone-shaped crest spike. Riveted peak with turned-under and roped edge and adjustable nasal. Neck protector sliding on four lames and hinged(!) cheek-pieces with star-shaped piercings for hearing, also with turned-under and roped edges. The inside with the original leather covering. Height approximately 28 cm. Extraordinarily heavy and high-quality version of a typical helmet. Cf.
