London, UK. 1st May 2018. Eva Turner, GLATUC, rally joint chair introduces the first speaker at the rally in Trafalgar Square including many from London's international and migrant communities celebrates International Workers Day. Some held flags and banners on the plinth of Nelson's Column while others listened to the speeches by a number of trade unionists and activists and included a short silence in memory of Mehmet Aksoy who was killed in Syria whilst filming with Kurdish fighters and had spoken for the Kurds at previous events. At the end of the rally there was a speech by Brixton Ritzy

At the end of the rally there was a speech by Brixton Ritzy trade unionist Kelly Rogers victimised by Picturehouse and the various precarious workers groups who had met at the rally to begin a march around London moved towards the platform in support.
