Blue water view of red vehicle ferry approaching and about to dock at the ferry terminal at Chacao, Chiloe Island, Chile

Vehicle ferries, every 30-35 minutes, provide access to Chiloe across the Canal de Chacao and across the Gulf of Corcovado, to Quellon, on the east side of the island. The journey from Pargua, on the mainland, to Chacao, on the northern tip of the island, takes some 40 minutes. Here we see a ferry approaching the concrete vehicle ramp at Chacao.
