HIDRADENITIS SUPPURATION


An infection, usually staphlococcal, of the apocrine sweat glands characterised by subcutaneous nodules. Abscesses eventually rupture, as the disease becomes chronic ulcers appear. The usual sites are the axillae in women and the groin in men.
