Gosport,Hampshire Monday 9th May 2016 ravellers have upgraded from the DC Leisure Centre complex in Forest Road to Alver Country Park on Grange Road over the weekend. The travellers have descended upon a Gosport beauty spot leaving angry families urging council chiefs to kick them off. Up to 20 caravans were still illegally occupying Alver Country Park this morning after first entering the site at on Friday evening with some moving onto the site over the weekend. Their arrival has dismayed visitors to the tranquil park today, many of whom were demanding Gosport Council to force them out and even start clamping their vans. This morning anxious council bosses called it "unauthorised encampment" and said they had already taken steps to try to get them off by starting an eviction process. They also gave the travellers a deadline to leave, but this has passed and they still remain at the site. People visiting the site, many of whom were with their children, said they want them gone. Lauren Park who was visiting the park with her two young children to use the newly installed play facility, said: "It's disgusting, they know full well they shouldn't be here." Dog walker Claire Drake said: "It is quite intimidating, they don't seem to care about being here."“@UKNIP
