St Pancras Old Church, London. The church is dedicated to the Roman martyr St Pancras, who converted to Christianity and was beheaded for his faith at the age of fourteen. It is claimed by some to be one of the oldest sites of Christian worship in England. Originally a medieval church. By 1847 this had become derelict and was largely replaced by a new church designed by architect Alexander Dick Gough, with a tower on the south side. The graveyard was disturbed during the construction of the Midland Railway's new line into St Pancras Station. In the background, on the right, are the Gasholders - new apartment blocks built within the frames of the gasholders at King's Cross.
