Culture. —One ounce will sow 100 feet of drill. Sow in rich soil in rows 1 foot apart, and thin to 9 inches in the row. In the fall lift the roots, pack in boxes, and blanch in dark cellar. The leaf-growth furnishes a delicious salad, or may be cooked in the same manner as sea-kale.
