Crosby, Liverpool, Merseyside. UK 26th September, 2015. Battle of Waterloo Re-enactment and Commemorations of the 200th anniversary. The township celebrated the battle's bicentennial with authentic actors armed with guns and ammunitions, and dressed uniforms of the period re-enacting how the battle unfolded. The event hosted in ‘Potter’s Barn Park’ was attended by hundreds of locals to see the battle after which the town was named. Battle of Waterloo re-enactment Potters Barn. Potters Barn park buildings are replicas of the farmhouse of La Haye Sainte which featured in the battle. The event was staged mark the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo and has been organised by Waterloo Town Team. Soldiers dressed in uniform of the time camped in the park so that the public were able see for themselves what it was like before the battle and talk to the soldiers about their experiences, before they fired their muskets during the re-enactment.
