The several examples by (or attributed to)Cuyp included a Landscape with a Cavalier in ared jacket and a hat with a feather, on a whitehorse, the cavalier conversing with a boy, withother figures, and a round tower beyond, signed, SIR JOSHUA REYNOLDS, KITTY FISCHER,DAUGHTER OF A GERMAN STAYMAKER, Was celebrated for her wit and beauty. In 1766 she married JohnMorris, Esq., and died before September. 1771, a victim to cos-metics. Between 1759 and 1767 she sat many times for her portraitto Reynolds. From the collection or Kirkman D.
