Severe acid drainage from the Dabaoshan Mine in Guangdong, China. The acidic water is caught in a large lake but this cannot contain all the drainage. Downstream flow of acidic water, loaded with heavy metals, has severely polluted both surface and groundwaters and led to heavy metal posionings in downstream villages.
