Fruit, medium, round-ish, oblate, regular ; skin,smooth, greenish ground,changing to pale yellow,rich red cheek, withstripes and splashes ofred in the sun, sometimesnearly covered with crim-son ; stem, one-half tothree-quarters of an inchlong in a deep, regularcavity; calyx, nearlyclosed in a deep, Wealthy. Flesh, white, finegrained, tender, juicy,sprightly, pleasant sub-acid. Season, early winter. Quality, de3sert, verygood ; cooking, good. Value, for home mar-ket, very good ; for for-eign market, very good. Adaptation. Succeedsat Simcoe, Bay of Quinte,St. Lawrence and Niagarastations, also at Ottawaand Montreal
