ARLINGTON, Va. (Jul. 11, 2017) Richard Schaffer from Lockheed Martin assists the Chief of Naval Research, Rear Adm. David Hahn, during a demonstration of the Office of Naval Research (ONR)-sponsored Tactical Decision Kit (TDK) during a visit to ONR. Scheduled to be rolled out over the next several months to Marines, the technology includes: an Interactive Tactical Decision Game (I-TDG); an augmented-reality Sand Table application that uses a HoloLens visual display to insert virtual objects into an actual field of sight; and a quadcopter-based system for quickly surveying and modeling terrain.
