The date for the photo is 5th March 1933 which means this was taken during the general election organised after Hitler was placed in power. For this election Hitler had arrested all communist party MPs, destroyed their party offices and made the party illegal. With no effective opposition and a positive mood in the country, the Nazis won this election (the only one they did) whch opened the door to the Enabling Act and all subsequent catastrophes.
