Intemperance work he has also been pro-minent, and as chairman of the TemperanceCommittee of the Congregational Union ofScotland he has rendered service to thecause all over the country. As secretary of the NorthernAssociation of Congregational Churchesand in various capacities as a member ofthe Aberdeen District Committee, has also served the denomination atlarge. The church at Woodside is to-dayan active one, with many agencies, and itssympathy with aggressive movements isvery pronounced. An interesting fact in connection withtie history of the church is the number ofyoung men it has sent forth as ministers ormissionaries. The list, for a congregationof the size, is a notable one, including, as itdoes, the names of well-known men, some of whom have now passed away, whileothers are still in the forefront. Amongstthose who were either brought up in thecongregation, or connected with it as youngmen, there may be mentioned (in additionto Rev. James Itae, who has been alreadyreferred to)—Rev. F. L. Le
