Old mans beard growing in the hedgerow in farmers field where it stands out in the autumn and winter when it's covered in fluffy white seedheads.

Also known as old man’s beard, this woody member of the buttercup family is often seen scrambling over poke through the bare branches of neighbouring trees and shrubs, livening up the view and it's easy to see why it is also called Traveller's joy.
