Airmen assigned to the 606th Air Control Squadron (ACS) return home to Aviano Air Base, Italy, April 26, 2021 from a deployment in Southwest Asia. The 727th Expeditionary Air Control Squadron (EACS), the unit the 606th ACS operated from while deployed, is the senior tactical command and control agency. The 727th EACS provided battle management command and control for more than 900 defensive counter-air-sorties, 3,100 close-air-support missions, 2,800 aerial-refueling missions, and 5,700 intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets throughout the deployment.
