I have passed the end of the road to Chapel-le-Dale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park many, many times over the but never ventured down into the place. Today I thought I would take a small excursion and see what lay down the turn and was rather pleased that I had! The small chapel reminds me of many that I have seen in the Scottish Highlands, and the old paintings of it on the wall were even more evocative of those further north.
