The Evansville Electric Railway Company, of Evansville,I in!., has lately put on its lines four semi-convertible single-truck cars of the Brill type, built by the C. C. Kuhlman CarCompany, Collinwood, Ohio. The railway company operatesa city and suburban system, with more than 30 miles of track-age and about one hundred cars. The company controls apopular amusement park in the suburbs, and the lines reachthree other parks, which attract large crowds during the is the second city in size in the State, and is thecommercial center of Southwestern Indiana. The cars are vestibuled at both ends, with entrances at oneside, an unusual style of vestibule for cars of this length. All. Thetwo windows opened at the rear of the car, shown in thepicture, give an idea of the lowness of the sides. The largewindows not only give an open appearance to the car in warmweather, when the windows are raised into the roof pockets,but also make it very bright and attractive in winter.
