The long lasting qualities of this class of lumber is now well known, and the increasing quantity of it now being used for benches and other places where rot sets in quickly shows that florists and the building trade have a good opinion of it. Adam Schillo, of the Adam Schillo Lumber Co., cor. of Weed and Hawthorn streets, gave a few interesting particulars respecting it recently. Not only is the pecky cypress more lasting than the ordinary pine, but it is known to last out three or four lots of the ordinary cypress.
