It did not take long underactive service conditions to show that there wasthe real fighting stuff in Silver. After repeatedattempts he got relieved of the job which affordedhim comparative safety. Alongside his oldfellow-students in the trenches, he was supremelyhappy. Hardships seemed less real when Silvershared them.
