The Central World Plaza is the largest commercial shopping mall in Southeast Asia when it was opened in 1990. in 2006 it was reopened after renovation and expansion and Bangkok is still a mecca for shoppers and tourists who want to go shopping. There is a Buddhist shrine outside the building with an altar bearing flowers and offerings.
